Out like a Lamb?

I think the saying goes in like a lion out like a lamb, but what they really meant to say was out like the color of a lamb. This is what we were looking at on Saturday morning on our way to my friend Denise's house in the "deep deep woods".

Soccer Saturday

The action shot on the bottom comes after Andy bunted the ball with his knee and it went way up in the air...look how he has the "meant to do that look".

Cousin Love....in a good way

We took a brief trip to Rhode Island and for the first time Andy was begging to stay the night. He loved his new partner in crime Amalia. We also took an early morning walk on the rock cliffs, I wish it wasn't so cold because that was Andy's favorite part of the trip, next time we will spend more time on those rocks. He is a little too much like a dare-devil, he refused any help and was scaling those cliffs on his own. Talk about a heart attack! Anyways, it all worked out and we had breakfast at Ginger and Dennis' house and then played football with Rusty and went home. What a great time I had with Andy, he is so enjoyable (most of the time).

Love The Soccer!

Andy started playing soccer in February and it is now a pure addiction. He plays on Saturday and when that is over he says "I can't wait for next Saturday!" He is actually pretty good and aggressive. At first he was very concerned about being exactly where the coach told him to stand and wouldn't move far from his post, now he passes to his team mates and makes several attempts at scoring. In this picture he is the goalie, his least favorite position, but as you can see he is determined to stop that goal.

The Injury

What a journey this has been for Andy and his family. It was just a few unsupervised moments and mischief quicky turned into trama. Thankfully Andy has done everything he can to get his hand to heal quickly, and we have done what we can to keep the smiles on. The Shriners Hospital gave Andy a cool baseball cap, we realized that there wasn't much that Andy couldn't do even with all that bandaging and splint on. We visited Chuck E Cheese's and made a cake together, and actually Andy cracked the eggs and added all of the ingredients with his left hand, now that's talent! One of the best highlights was all of the mail that Andy got, especially a gift package from Maine that included a Patriots t-shirt, a cuddle stuffed animal and the coolest spiderman umberella. Of course then we had to wish for rain everyday and finally we did get some and it was the coolest thing to have our own umberella. Thank you so much! Right now Andys fingers are looking so much better and they aren't really tender anymore, thats great news.
