Odiorne Park

The Boston Childrens Museum

here, there, everywhere....

At the camp with the family... this is Ellianna, she likes to watch over Andy.

Andy's self portrait...he is going to be great at myspace pics.
Andy took this photo of me and Erica on our way home from Hampton Beach...nice shot!Andy has no more fear of the ocean, LOVES to jump into the crashing waves.

...more

Andy started outdoor soccer again on September 6. He is pictured with his brother Keagan who is on a different team with other 7 yearolds. Keagan was eager to give advice and instruction to Andy, and surprisingly it really paid off for him. Andy has showed a ton of growth since he last played in the late spring. During this particular game he scored 5 goals, he passed twice and two of his goals were assisted. Honestly most of the kids don't really know which direction to run, so it was very exciting to watch Andy and some of his team mates who happen to be very competitive. These games are every Saturday...rain or shine.

From this Summer

Andy and I hiked up Pack Monadonock, it is 1.4 miles each way. It took us about 3 hours including a picnic lunch at the summet. I was really impressed with Andy's ability to keep going when he really wanted to give up.

King Island

We are at Erica's parents camp site on Bow Lake. There is a very small beach that is open for all to use and they have this great little island that you can walk out to. The water is very shallow and only goes up to Andy's waist. He spent most of the time walking back and forth from the beach to the island and then jumping off the rocks. The water was SO COLD but it is true that kids don't really care about that they just want to be in the water.

Erica's parents; Elaine and Dick have a camper that is parked on a lot that has a paved driveway, electricity and big lawn it looks great. When you sit on the patio that Dick built you can see the beautiful lake and a gigantic weekend summer house that is right on the water just accross the road from the camp site. There is plenty of space on the lot for a tent, so that's where we are hoping to spend some of the summer.

Kayaking in Bow Lake NH

Legs are out to try to get some sun on...so pasty.
To the island and back, great job Erica!!

Always eager to helped Andy jumped up to help carry the kayak for Erica, turned out to be heavier then he thought it would be.

Indoor Soccer Over

No more indoor soccer for now. We've moved on to something called scatter ball. Its outdoor and really kinda unstructured. But for Andy it's great, he scored on his first game and his team won. There were three players on Andy's team who obviously had played soccer before and just took over the field. Andy LOVES being on "the best team".

Swim Lessons

This is Andy's first official swim lesson, he thinks he is an excellent swimmer. Its really kind of funny how he splashes with his mega kicks. He does a great job jumping in and going under, no fear at all.

Lost First Tooth

The tooth has been loose for 4 days, so we think and then with a carrot it went down the hatch. The first lost tooth is really lost. Andy wasn't too upset, he just left a note for the tooth fairy. It looks like the other front bottom tooth will be going soon. Big deal, this means he is not a baby anymore.....ugh.

Major Leager

He can hit 2 out of 3 pitches, and most of them are out there...its fun until you have to go get the balls. Andy likes to run the bases every third hit. You might think he would get tired, no that's not true, only mom does. Oh-well.

Jumpin the Fence

One ball was tossed over the fence. Andy's solution was to take the shortcut.

"I'll read then you can read, ok Mama?"

Andy has a phonics book that he read for the first time Monday. When he realized that he needed little help reading this story he beamed. Now instead of the usual mom reading a bedtime story Andy gets to read to mom first. The best part is hearing him try to make the story come alive by emphasizing when there are exclamation points. I need to get more of these books because I think I may become comatose if I hear "I see" sentences every night.

Monkey Monkey

Nice enough to head to the park before going to Portsmouth for Mom's birthday. Andy gets a real rush from jumping off of the dome shaped monkey bars. We had to peal him away. When I thought we were going to leave he rushed over to the swings to try jumping off of them. I think I may have to bring Valium for myself next time we go to the park. I'm guessing its only going to get more thrilling as the summer approaches.

The New Baby

Ok, I'm not jealous really. I mean look at these two, they look sexy and they are having fun. Who knew Vicky would be a Harley Mama Bombshell? LOVE IT!

Kids at play...after a long day

On April 12th the siblings got together with most of the kids and Nana for her birthday. We went to Portsmouth to the Blue Mermaid which has some delicious Caribbean food. They are good to us and gave us a huge space upstairs to ourselves to let the kid be kids. And thanks to Auntie Vicky the lovely children all had new bouncy balls to toss around, they LOVED that. And when they "lost" those, they had fun making a fort under some unused tables. After the early dinner we took a stroll around downtown, it was so sunny but still brisk. The kids did great and thankfully so did the adults.
